Still processing the run. A bunch of college kids lived across from a Hood milk bottling plant, wrote a composition inspired by it, and 40 years later staged a dairy-themed, Broadway-level production with a bunch of dancing milk cartons, milk men, ice cream bars, and a giant freezer.

Reminder that free will exists and New Year’s resolutions don’t have to suck. Resolve to eat every kind of cheese, pet every dog you see, resolve to take pictures of clouds and look up what you see. No one needs to be a “better version of themselves” when they can visit every local brewery.

The thing most non-Phish people don’t understand about this band is they are…artists. They create not just music, but art. And they do it for both themselves and for us. They’re in their 60s and their whimsy and creativity has not slowed down.

Tonight will be show #71, my 18th show this year (a new record) and my 26th show at MSG. This year I saw them in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Manchester, Philly, Birmingham, Alpharetta and NYC. These four dorks who call themselves Phish continue to bring me so much joy.

This was not, in fact, a dull year, and I suspect I may have jinxed my entire 2026, but once I got the idea in my head I had to draw it (Happy New Planner Day!)

My only prediction for the NYE gag is that it will be something none of us expected and it will be impossible to explain to our normal friends. Ok, fine, it's gonna be something based on Cars, Trucks, Buses.
