"This technology opens up infinite possibilities limited only by your imagination. You could uh put yourself in the Avengers as a new superhero. You could be uh Cool Man. Also Richard Nixon could be there" wait sorry that's too imaginative, make that "also Harry Potter could be there"

Why is it whenever some article is like "imagine what AI could do" it's always something boring and awful. Like it's not even a limitation of AI itself it's purely on the writer. They could have come up with any idea they wanted and the best they had was, what if an actor was in a different show

as always, one of the central foundational questions in politics: are children property? to many, the answer is unequivocably yes.

Trump: "I won because Latino voters shifted to support me!" Trump, six months later: "If you're Latino I will have armed paramilitaries harass you relentlessly, and gloat how they're going to purge your foreign culture and inferior genes from this country" Democrats: "I see no opportunity here"

I'm hearing reports that at least one of the Nova Festival attendees already had asthma when he was riddled with bullets by an IDF helicopter.

Throwback to when AI bros were saying they were digital artists because they both used technology to make art. So as a digital artist I found a rock, burnt some sticks, and made a busty dragoness out of nothing but shit I had in my backyard. Nothing will stop real artists from making real art.

I think kids should not be constantly watched by their parents all the time, with the amount of supervision decreasing as the kid ages. Apparently some people find this bizarre and think that parents should know everything a 15 year old does.

feels like one of the main divides in how people view ai is the reaction to its ingratiating servile tone. when ai is like "ouhhhh i'm so sorry i got that wrong sir, let my try again, you were right my liege" tech guys are like "i like this" instead of "what the fuck is wrong with you"

I think it’s worth noting it is utterly VITAL this dead child’s mother cling to her anti-vax beliefs. Because otherwise, if she accepts the fact that vaccinations save lives, that also requires her to accept personal responsibility for the needless death of her child. She can’t do that.

You literally cannot tell this incredibly cool part of American history without centering Native American identity. It is an powerful demonstration of how diversity provided tangible military advantages over an enemy committed to White supremacy.

The media can (and should) reject the Right's deceptive frame. This is not about "references to diversity, equity, and inclusion." It is a neosegregationist attempt to erase everyone but white males from the nation's history.

What too many people don’t grasp is that there a “fight” spectrum and an ideological spectrum. Many commentators and people in DC assume they pretty much line up exactly. This is not the case at all.

I’m no political expert but if Republicans start gutting social security and any Democrat responds with “I understand the need for reform, but” instead of “Social Security is good and works fine” that Democrat should be exiled like a stupid Napoleon
