Played this way back. It was different to DnD, in a good way. Tbh there were a good few great systems that fell by the wayside in the 90s. Tunnels and Trolls, Dragonquest, and my personal lost favourite Empire of the Petal Throne spring to mind. They still have cult fan followings online.

Like Dave, I work for Rebellion, but not for Rebellion Unplugged, the tabletop arm, and I, too, had nothing to do with this edition. I just have three previous editions of the game, think it's a barrelful of goblins worth of fun, and want the new version to have a decent chance. Anyway, 🧵⬇️

This is the 5th edition book I had here in the UK when I was a kid. I can still quote it much from memory; the stuff about Fang, bits of rules here and there. I think having read this and Dragon Warriors and Titan as well as D&D/AD&D gave me a sense of range in fantasy ttrpgs which helps to this day

This, on several levels. T&T is a fun game. Dave is a top chap. Eclectic Games is a terrific shop. Reading's a bit distant for me, but if you're closer, you should consider this.
