Thank you to everyone for all your kind words re: Dad. They are moving him out of intensive care, to keep monitoring him. TL;DR, he will still need an appendectomy within the next six weeks. Which is a big risk, but has to happen or he'll have a recurrence. Meanwhile, it's a ton of antibiotics.

Spent most of the last two days at the hospital with Dad. He's got a perforated appendix, and they're too afraid to do anything given ALL his medical issues. So they're trying to fix it with IV antibiotics. At least temporarily. I bought a lot of flowers to cope.
