Had to get this book just for the tile.

Just watched the iconic 1975 film, Xala, by the great Ousman Sembene (had previously read God’s Bits of Wood, but not watched anything by him). Such an unsparing - and darkly funny - look at the travails, insecurities, and betrayals of a newly-independent nation.

Good to see your childhood bookshop also have the right politics (Midland, Delhi).
