My assumption is that actions like this are testing the legal grounds and FIFA's tolerance for the US to deny entrance for players and whole teams. FIFA should respond strongly by disqualifying the US team.

Theyâ didnât leak Trumpâs tax returns. An IRS contractor did - along with thousands of other tax returns - during Trumpâs first term. Bidenâs DOJ prosecuted the contractor, who got the max: 5 years in prison. This is shameful spin from SDNY U.S. Attorney Jay Clayton.

the academic bargain has been this: you sacrifice $100k+ of lost income & savings to go to grad school to get a TT job making less than an avg. middle manager, if you're VERY lucky, but to counterbalance that you get job security forever. w\o that last part the ROI on academic labor makes no sense.

Recently, FamilySearch digitized and uploaded tons of microfilmed records, including many from 18th-century Massachsuetts. They're using some sort of AI to transcribe/summarize the handwritten documents. I've noticed that the AI strips out references to race and enslavement in 18thc documents.
