I believe that large format photography exists to keep me humble. Even with a checklist I underexposed the shot of the dandelion because I forgot to account for extension factor. Luckily the scan is okay. Graflex RB 4x5, Arista Edu 100 ISO, df96 monobath.

Polaroid J66 from the hoarder collection. Produced from 1961 to 1963, using Type 40 roll film. It is a shame there's no new film available for these.

Not all of these antique cameras are in serviceable condition. This one has bad separation between lens elements, a sticky shutter, a totally shot bellows and no ground glass. The condition of cameras in this collection truly runs the gamut.

Did some camera testing slash photo experiments in the front yard today. My 1931 Graflex RB is a very strange beast to shoot with, but I'm happy with how these Instax frames loaded into the film holder turned out. Next test: black and white film in the studio.

Lost the last two rounds of "is it pictures", but that wasn't a surprise. Four sheets of mystery black and white film fully fogged out, found in old film holders of unknown age (one standard 4x5 and on 4x5 graflex).

Glad I bought the lomograflok, but now experimenting with 3d printed frames so I can load instax sheets into 4x5 film holders. I'll still need the lomograflok to develop them though. It will add some steps to the process, but let me use non-graflok cameras for instax photos.

Ep2 of ST:A I hate the leaders calling their adult cadets children. It is frustratingly disrespectful. Jett Reno continues to be a gift. A Betazoid without the black eyes? I wish they kept that physical distinction. Some good gags, some bad.

Mine is the story of a person who had 5 cameras and wanted two more, but ended up owning 136 instead. This is a cautionary tale. I swear I just wanted a Pentax 6x7 and a Graflex Speed Graphic, but they were part of a lot the seller insisted on moving all at once together.

I'm not really qualified to assess whether clinging sullenly to a child's book makes you a bad person, but I do think it makes you timid, incurious, and dull. It makes you someone who will sacrifice other people for a memory of comfort. It makes you untrustworthy and weak.
