I have no idea to this day how many games were on that DOS shareware compilation CD. Truth is, I don’t want to know. Some things are better left unsaid. I’d like to think that the number was so large, it can’t be expressed in words, and makes your heart ache because of it.

The amount of people thinking this will doom the franchise is nuts. I'm not a fan of everything current Atari has done, but this is a hell of an improvement for the franchise's situation. This won't affect the Japanese games and we might get re-releases of the originals too.

I bought the Shoot 'em Up DVD and it has a completely undocumented PC-based thing that I'll hopefully tear into in the future. But the funny part? It has a Mac version... that was PPC-ONLY. The documentation said they'd have an Intel patch in 2008. But that patch was seemingly never released.
