A big step here is to draw something every night, even when working 13.4 hr days. Yeah, quick new sketch, def has feels in it. I simply wont waste my time doing dead drawings, i just can't.

Fred, I've followed Megatokyo for something around 25 years, you could go back to drawing like you did back then and I'd still have hope for you. I don't know if it'll help but I believe in you... even if I was one of the people who suggested you not to give up on the architect career.

I guess I was able to get some vibe going here. That's good. Maybe there is hope for me yet.

I have thoroughly reworked my work area over the past few weeks as my of my art avoidance neurosis and it's in much better shape now than it was. Sounds better, too. Cleaned up a lot of cable mess.

One thing that really happened this time was I stopped drawing. I've been struggling to actually get it going again, but maybe with things going a not cancer direction now I can stop being so bottled up...

On Friday we got the results of the Bronchial Probe biopsy Sarah had on Thursday: looks like the mass in her left lung is NOT cancer, her lymph node chain presented no cancer cells, and in short, it's looking like her long term cancer has NOT resurfaced and she'll be OK. I can stop being a mess now.

Settling to take it easy a few hrs as I sit here waiting for Sarah's couple of Sarah's procedure today. Hopefully, I will get the biopsy material they need to see where her cancer is at. Nerve wracking, but we're on this.

Potentially this violates contracts on projects, making Adobe dangerous to use if you're trying to make a living.

I am so glad my son is graduated from high school and out of the education system now. I grieve for all the young people who's lives and futures will be damaged by this monster.

learned a lot, cleaned up a lot, got things working really nice everywhere else, but still no dropbox. it's anoying to have to use the windows interface, but for now it will have to do. Working mostly at my desk these days anyways.

Well, i spent most of last night and a good chunk of today trying to fix a problem ive had with Dropbox for six or seven months now. After diving into this computer and really cleaning things up, it still wont get to the point it actually connects to my account, and sits on 'starting...'.

I should mention that that is the first drawing I've been able to do in 4 weeks. I think I managed to FINALLY overcome my post-traumatic Drawing Paralysis Disorder (PTDPD) :)

And as part of all that effort to draw something... i switched from Google Chrome to Firefox. Which I've been meaning to do. But the drawing avoidance is STRONG today.

I've been sitting here at my desk for several hours, trying to draw SOMETHING, anything, and the ADHD pro that I am has been working overtime to avoid it (going so far as to cleaning the cat box). Post Trauma Creative Paralysis (PTCP) is real, and never fun.

I have to admit, with all this... I feel like a pot of petunias.

Sarah has been home a few days, everything is going well, she is quite stable, sleeping ok, very tired, medications and care going ok. After I got her home and things settled down, *I* became a dark, hopeless mess. Not uncommon for me after traumatic stuff. It's taken a few days, but im better now.

People like Kane and many many others that do care about human art and the creative process have been a beacon of hope while trying to navigate making art in this current climate.
