You know what, that DS9 got handed to an exec who wasn't particularly into Trek (but was fine with having a couple of nerds on staff to handle that) and would do things like "He's a Taxi script I wrote that didn't sell, turn it into a Quark episode" is probably the sort of thing we need more of.
