When you work for the federal government, your client is the United States. Not some tinpot dictator. You take an oath for a reason, and if you’re not prepared to stand by it, you should resign.

Any court worth its salt will dismiss these charges. It’s a symbolic prosecution of a perceived enemy that should earn the attorneys involved sanctions and possible disbarment. Any of them who are serious would’ve resigned in protest long before this came to bear.
