Tylenol is the only pain reliever deemed safe for pregnant women. So if you look at it through the lens of "what can we do to make women suffer?" it makes perfect sense.

Went to Boots for my COVID vaccination today. Wonder what percentage of the population are going to pay for it. Β£98.95. If you can't afford it, you probably won't get it.

The local coffee shop stopped giving out loyalty stamps if you don't buy coffee but do buy other hot drinks. I think this is very unreasonable given I don't like coffee. I got my own coffee bean stamp and stamp my own card after each visit & claim a free hot chocolate when filled

Best advice I never took was when I was 30 and on a massive career fast-track: You cannot cuddle with your career on a lonely night when your life is on the decline. Invest as much time on love and family. Sounded twee then. At 62 and near retirement, I now know it's 100% true.

Took my daughter to the bank to open her own Junior account so she can learn about responsible money management. The nice banking lady asked her to spell her name because it has different spellings. "A for Apple," she said, followed by "B for Bollocks". Mortified.

As a kid my parents would give me a Liquorice Allsorts when I hurt myself. I'm 37 now and still a clumsy fuck. I buy my own but still manage to eat almost a whole 350g sharing bag of Liquorice Allsorts every week from bumping into doors or falling over.

Yet another of Hookland's infamous knockers. This one at 14 Pope Joan Street in Ashcourt is apparently possessed by a mind or a spirit of its own. In the summer of 1976, BBC Nationwide's cameras caught it briefly rapping on the door without any obvious human interaction.

Things that annoy me no end number 475: when Iβm first in a queue and a random bloke comes and edges in front of me and then makes a big deal of saying βafter youβ. Reader, I made him get on the bus in front of me.

To anyone who needs it today: credit your translator. A good translator's skills are at least as important as those of the original creator. Imagine if someone were to build a life sized replica of the Eiffel Tower out of matchsticks, you wouldn't just credit Gustave Eiffel - would you?

Genuinely pains me to say so, but at great cost to my personal brand I will admit that I agree that most English people have not gone insane over the past decade, but that English media and political parties absolutely have. A great number of English people remain decent and, crucially, normal!

It is Hookland. There is no βspooky seasonβ. Spooky is the countyβs default setting because it is the English gothic, the English strange. The weird is not a costume to be warn only once a year.

There's a door in our house that if you push the correct floorboard, the door near the cellar flings open, When my kids are being naughty I say Lesley is coming and she's mad, then I press the floorboard. Cue the screams.
