iOS 26 just released. Apple kinda quietly enabled the ability to use custom sounds for ringtones and alerts. This is dangerous. Because I'm me and I have a wide range of obnoxious fart sounds at my disposal.

Lot's of new or suddenly active accounts being weird, turning up the temperature, provoking folks. Hit that block button and walk away gang.

Companies need to work on better email personalization. Especially medical places. They always start out like “Hello JOHN JACOB JINGLEHEIMER SCHMIDT”. It’s never “Hello John” or “Mr. Schmidt” if they got pronouns on. It’s the full name in all caps. It always sounds like they’re making fun of me.

When I find I'm blocked by some rando I wonder for a second if it was something I did or said. Then I find they're blocked by thousands of people and are on a zillion block lists. Major red flags. Then I don't feel bad anymore. At least I'm not such a terrible person as that.

I'm finding that I really like and even prefer procedural textures. Using just procedural noise I created a pretty good looking drop ceiling tile material (the squares are also generated from a noise texture). Downside is Godot doesn't like to layer materials well, but I'm learning to work with it.

I suck at making textures, so I'm trying procedural ways of doing things in #Godot. From first to last: pool/bathroom tiles, weathered paint with metal surface showing through, and weathered paint with pitted and rusted metal. All done with standard material settings and built-in noise textures.
