Senate Republicans offered Trump a plan to fund DHS without ICE so we could get TSA agents paid and put an end to this madness that’s happening at the airports. He rejected it. Instead, he wants to keep fighting Democrats on our common-sense proposals to put safeguards on ICE and CBP.

Why are ICE agents coming to airports? Because GOP blocked 10 different bills that would have opened TSA. They won’t fund TSA unless we give ICE unlimited funds and impunity. This is the GOP’s mess.

Democrats have tried to fund TSA, FEMA, and the Coast Guard 7 times. Republicans have blocked these attempts at every turn. President Trump is holding critical safety agencies hostage to push through a voter suppression bill and shield a lawless ICE operation from accountability.
