Fluid inclusions in this Cambrian quartzite are just amazing. These CO2 and O2 bubbles vibrate, endlessly. These are likely from a widespread late Paleozoic fluid event (same as Herkimer diamonds?). Inclusions are 20-30 microns: ~1/3 the width of human hair. (Mosherville SS of Galway in NY).

We wrote this about predictive AI rather than generative AI, but the hype-functionally ratio has only blown up in the genAI era. Something’s gotta give.

Magmatic enclaves are typically mafic (darker) inclusions w/in felsic (lighter) igneous rock caused by mingling of magmas in the magma chamber. This swarm looks like fishes swimming with current & have experienced some shearing. Note the lighter dikes cutting across some of the enclaves. ⚒️🧪👇🏼 geology
