Do you work with reprogrammed cells? Then look at our new paper! We asked: How well do reprogrammed cells differentiate into complete&functional tissues? We found that - some cell types form perfectly but others fail - reducing levels of one specific TF of the previous lineage can fix problems⬇️

A fantastic team effort led by @marcelwerner.bsky.social and Manuel T., where we explore the chromatin dynamics at transcription-replication conflicts (TRC) sites and their impact on genome stability using a novel TRC reporter system.

The Volkswagen Foundation has started a "Night Science" funding mechanism (!) for "interdisciplinary teams of 2 researchers who inspire, complement and challenge each other. The aim is to create a space in which new approaches can emerge - without the pressure to produce immediate results." Amazing!

Yesterday, we did a quick spot check, asking our colleagues if they were concerned about current events affecting research freedom.
