Look, it's my eligibility list for this year! 😅

I say this as someone whose entire job is finding the narrow use cases in which AI is actually useful: All the fear about AI, all the reluctance to adopt it, is entirely legitimate, and a product of the fact that it's been foisted on the public with no consideration of its negative externalities.

So that's the lesson that pops up for me with AI stuff--when evaluating now, I look at whatever the focus is NOT on. This isn't to say AI won't eventually be good enough to smooth out everything, but right now it can't. The tells are outside what the video/image wants you to focus on.

Will tonight be the last time I turn off my writing music and briefly freak out at the noises that are actually my very quiet dishwasher running? Odds seem to be on the side of "no."
