Tennessee State Rep. Justin Jones is one of my personal heroes. I recently had the chance to speak to him about the racist redistricting plot being enacted in his state and others in the South. Republicans are trying to bring us back to the Jim Crow era that so many fought (and died) to end.

Farmers vote against workers' interest bc most of us aren't working class. Farmers are business owners. With inherited wealth & property. It's not that hard to figure out! It's not folksy, & it's not "economic anxiety." Most *small family farmers* in the US are millionaires w 6-figure incomes.

1. Most farmers assumed he'd send enough free gov't money to farmers to make up for the trade war. In other words, a plan to parasitize the American people. 2. Less taxes, regulations, etc. The usual reasons people vote GOP.

This is the goal. If we are to make real change and reform this corrupt system we need supermajorities in the house and senate to pass laws, propose constitutional amendments and override Trump’s expected vetoes. It’s a tall order. But one Democrats should strive for.
