There's no money for HS2. Govt had to break an election promise and raise NI. They had to cut winter fuel allowance. Yet they've managed to shake the magic money tree to find a few billion quid for an ID card system to accomplish an objective it is incapable of accomplishing.

We already have ‘right to work’ checks for employment. This won’t change that. ‘Illegal’ working isn’t done through the kinds of employers who do this. This won’t help that at all.

I applied to vacate a 1st hearing in a case for a defendant who is out of the country and who told the police he would be out of the country when they gave him the hearing date. It's been a week and a half since I submitted the application - hearing is tomorrow. Still no decision. Happens every time

Throughout the world, there are many different ways to settle disagreements and disputes. For obvious reasons, not everything ends up in front of a judge. Legal action happens when two parties cannot settle their differences. If you want to settle a dispute by Sharia principles, feel free. /1

The “Ed Davey is obsessed with Farage” takes are weird. A) The media is obsessed with Farage B) If the next election looks anything like the polling, it will basically be a progressive/populist bloc election. Labour won’t be Davey’s enemy. They’ll be his path to govern.

Why do news shows bother getting these idiots on? Channel 4 News has a woman on who is using a bizarre filter and who seems to think that fact checking trump's lies is laughable. Just stop broadcasting interviews with idiots who think the truth is unimportant.

Just as an aside on this: I understand Antifa isn’t an organisation and it seems like Stupid Trump. But I feel the next step will be for the regime to define who or what is Antifa. The parameters are specifically vague so anyone Trump doesn’t like can be branded a terrorist.

Why is buying a car so hard? My gf knows what she wants but Mercedes don't have one. They can get her one, but can't guarantee the price or the finance or the colour, or anything else about it until it arrives. All the car makers we've been to are the same. It really shouldn't be this difficult.

Could you send a PS please? Ask the government to come off Twitter and use any other social media to get public messages across. The government should not be putting money in Musk's pocket when he is trying to undermine the rule of law in this country. You might ask the Tories to move as well.

Ed Davey is right. Musk’s abuse of social media ownership to destabilise our democracy should now be treated as a serious national security threat, resulting in appropriate countermeasures. I have little faith that Starmer will rise to the challenge, however.
