If the aim of resistance is just to resist, then we've missed the point. If our aim of resistance is solidarity with others, then we need to know ourselves in relation to others. If our aim is to create a world without oppression, then we need to know ourselves, others, AND the oppressive structure.

In our haste to resistance, we often fail to know our enemies and ourselves relative to the very struggles that we seek to join or initiate. We don't know how we fit, how we are implicated in the very sufferings we seek to resolve, and insofar as this is the case, we fail to act appropriately.

Feeling the both/and today: helping others as we can is essential, vitalizing, healing, and also if we're at a real limit ourselves, this ⬇️

It’s really wild how many people took this as an obvious and dire need as it concerned their own experience of a few months of isolation, but when it comes to others’ experience of years of the same, the need for access to community gets blown off entirely.
