Having one of those nights where I desperately want to write something but I don't want to write any of the 12 things I currently have going.

Have official brain doctor permission to write more demon smut

My therapist is going to ask how I've been doing and I am going to have to decide whether I tell them I feel well enough to write smut again. (I'm sorry I keep going on about this, but I haven't been able to write anything of real substance since 2022. This is a huge change for me.)

Well, apparently what I needed to bring back my writing mojo, to the tune of 30k words, is demon smut. I guess I should just embrace that.

Over the last... three?... days I appear to have written 20,000 words of demon erotica. Three quarters of which is not actually smut (but the smut is good, my dudegals). I might be getting my mojo back?

Bleh. Super disappointed in A Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes movie compared to the book. I always knew I wouldn't like it as much - so much of those books are in the internal monologue and narrative and that doesn't translate well to screen - but I didn't even feel the urge to *finish* this one.

I have spoken to rooms full of nondisabled people and heard this ripple of tense laughter. I have told my own story of flipping a car on black ice and people straight up told me they would just drive more carefully. As thanks for being calm and non-panicky whilst dealing with my sewing machine needs through the finger injury yesterday, my body is rewarding me with intrusive thoughts ("remember how it looked? Here's another memory of how it looked!") and an adrenal crisis. So that's fun.

This is a very good thing, and I'm very happy for minimum wage workers and this win for them. I would, however, like to point out that DSP recipients get less than half of that per week, and have more medical expenses. The healthcare card helps, but not to the tune of $900/week.
