Canva's idea seems to be to go after the market of people who used a cracked copy of Photoshop anyway, give the entire thing away for free as loss leader, and use it to upsell normal people on Canva subscriptions. They're going right after Adobe where it hurts. It's a interesting strategy.

Been messing with the relaunched V3 Affinity since they got bought by Canva and it's interesting. They basically smashed all 3 tools together so you have a vector, a pixel and a layout editor in different tabs of the same app. It's also entirely free now.

"When I realized that vocalist Kitty Haywood had appeared on LPs by all three members of my holy trinity of Chicago progressive soul—Curtis Mayfield, Minnie Riperton, and Terry Callier—I knew I had to look harder at her oeuvre. The same goes for her singing siblings, who are integral to her career."

Kitty Haywood and her sisters sang on countless songs and jingles, including some of the greatest albums Chicago ever produced—and one hit of their own.

Though sad and uncomfortable, winter - and death - are often necessary to prevent game worlds from feeling stagnant. In our first article on Seasons,
@hollynielsen.bsky.social
explores how winter provides vital friction in the Harvest Moon series:

The Bond Between, here in the Twin Cities, has a much higher number of dogs, especially puppies, that need foster homes, like, tomorrow. Like Mitchell. So if you were thinking of being a foster care provider, now is the time. It’s free, it’s fun, it’s good.

I'm not going to wade in because I value my time but people are going on about AIs water consumption not being a big deal "because it's recirculated" but it's not actually a closed system in any of the plants I'm actually familiar with. It COULD be done that way but that would cost money.
