This is one of my fave Hopper paintings. It has lived at the Des Moines Art Center since 1958. I always try to pop in to visit it when I'm back in Iowa. I've been looking at this beguiling woman for so many yrs it's like she's family.

Arvada Center Outdoor Amphitheater is a nice lil gem that holds around 1,500. Saw Asleep at the Wheel give a helluva performance there a few yrs ago.

Caught a couple of first run foreign films today - Miroirs No. 3 @ IFC Center and Two Prosecutors @ Film Forum. Almost cried both times when the films started on their schedules times with no ads or trailers. #marqueespotting

N1 of the Bill Orcutt/Palilalia Records showcase did NOT disappoint. Shane Parish Autechre solo / Bill's How to Rescue Things / BOGQ / Chuck Roth & Kris Gruda (not pictured). Last nite showed that the guitar can still amaze you with what can be still be done with it after all of these yrs.

I'm posted up in Brooklyn rn to see the BOGQ, the best rawk band in America tonite (along with loads of other awesome musicians too).
