if i'm overly sanctimonious about the need for people to get behind positive alternatives on all kinds of scales - personal, artistic, political, cultural etc it's because i've watched so much cynicism and apathy creep into so many spaces. people still don't realize how little they have to lose.

many career things people do that's "just what you have to do now" exist because of a deeply diseased and parasitic social/cultural/political ecosystem. all of that will have be reconsidered under a better ecosystem. the people who benefit from it the most now will be the least able to do that.

i think there truly is nothing to say about AI anymore. if you need to convince someone in person the inherent problems with AI, that's fine. but the lines are so clear now. i want to see people's positive alternatives to it, and what kind of world they want to exist inside. now's the time for that
