The removal of the rainbow in the side walk at the Pulse memorial is symbolic of their attempt to erase LGBTQ+ from history/society. This isn’t just a side walk, it’s a political statement and a political attack against the queer community in Florida.

When I worked at Disney, many of my friends went to Pulse regularly. The day after the shooting, the break room was so quiet you could hear a pin drop, and we created a list on the white board so that we could eventually account for everybody that we knew. It was one of the most harrowing days.
