I note that the EHRC guidelines do not in any way bind *me* in where I pee. They rather mandate that it is for organisations to stop me, by what means, unclear. Toilet policing is harassment. And I expect the full support of both my unions if it should ever happen to me.

In 2021, the UK ranked 10th on the ILGA-Europe #RainbowMap, while in 2026, it ranks 22nd, its lowest historic position. The UK cannot claim to champion LGBTI rights while allowing them to be stripped away at home.

In the last five years, the UK Government has completely and systematically failed trans people across healthcare, education, and public and private life. This draft Code comes as part of a wider pattern of regression on the rights of trans people in the UK.

TGEU, ILGA-Europe, IGLYO, OII Europe, EL*C, Rainbow Cities Network, the European Pride Business Network & the European Forum of LGBTI+ Christian Groups are demanding answers: how can trans people participate in the #IDAHOTForum in 2027 feel safe in a country where trans people are actively vilified?

Next year, the UK and the @coe.int will host the #IDAHOTForum2027, Europe’s leading annual LGBTI conference. Ongoing threats to the rights and security of trans, non-binary and intersex people raise serious questions in this context.

It will result in the exclusion of trans and intersex people from public life, and may lead some to avoid public spaces altogether. It would also leave individuals and businesses to deal with decisions about who can access services, while costing millions of pounds to follow the new rules.

The implementation of this Code will mean that trans and intersex people are segregated when accessing basic services such as hospitals, changing rooms, bathrooms and violence support services.

The UK government has put a revised Code of Practice before parliament, which, if adopted, will intensify the serious regression of basic human rights that trans people are experiencing across the UK, and can similarly affect intersex people.

The trans community is under vicious attack. The @greenparty.org.uk response has been at best slow and quiet, at worst non existent. As a member I'm ashamed that we have not been much bolder and louder in showing unwavering solidarity with trans people. We need to do much better.

I’d call it a pet peeve, but it’s actually a big deal. Do not treat Whiteness as the “normal” state of humanity and make everyone else’s have a qualifier.

The strongest people I’ve known have been transgender. It takes a tremendous amount of self-awareness and a healthy dose of self-care to be yourself. I want a government that stands with the whole LGBTQ community. I honor you and stand with you. Love is love. 🏳️‍🌈

The way labour never really stops talking about travellers in quasi genocidal ways is really fucking creepy. Levenshulme labour are on about travellers in Cringe Park being a "safeguarding risk"and advising people on how to be better curtain twitchers about them

When the travellers inevitably move on as they generally do they'll claim victory as if that isn't what travellers do and meanwhile further enmity and fear will have been sown with little regard for building the kinds of neighbourly peace that can actually reduce crime issues.

I hope she has to make as little space for him in her consciousness as possible.
