Another Pride has been banned in Hungary. This can’t go on.

We are deeply concerned that the Slovak parliament has adopted a constitutional amendment threatening fundamental rights. It undermines the rights of women, children, families, and LGBTI people, including making legal gender recognition impossible.

LGBTQI+ rights are human rights. This is no more apparent than in the “Rainbow Map,” an annual report by ILGA-Europe @ilgaeurope.bsky.social, an Open Society grantee, that ranks 49 European countries on their legal and policy practices for LGBTQI+ people.

Turkish police detained at least 50 people during the banned 23rd #IstanbulPride March on Sunday, incl. journalists & lawyers. The group, incl a member of parliament, was attacked while reading a press statement. Others were arrested across the city on suspicion of attending Pride.
