Last year #Utrecht widened ~mile of bike lanes on either side of a major retail, freight, transit street so that people on bikes could safely pass ➕ ride side-by-side. Also added tons of bike parking, parklets, trees, safer street crossings. Lost ~60 car parking spaces. Good choice for any city?

I appreciate that every year, more and more parts of the city become accessible to me via bike due to the reconstruction or even retrofit of major arterial corridors. Minneapolis is still very car-oriented, but we're slowly making progress towards becoming a more livable city.
