I think that people who obsessively associate social progressivism with questions of "guilt" are mostly telling on themselves. And not even necessarily in the obvious way, but in a more general sense of lacking the emotional management to deal with feelings like guilt and shame.

will enjoy this essay. I haven't read many self-help books but thanks to the show I'm pretty familiar with a lot of the titles referenced.

i bet a lot of these players have been playing baseball since they were kids. that’s probably a big reason why they’re so good. if you learn this kind of stuff when you’re young it gives you a big head start

What it’s like to be in the middle of a conspiracy theory (according to a conspiracy theory expert)

bill maher has passed away after being made to shut up for five god damn minutes this evening. doctors say the comedian and talk show host likely died of a "broken heart" which they note was "black as coal" and "no bigger than an acorn" though it rolled under a cabinet before measurements were taken

I don't think anybody's against "gender-affirming care." They're against trans people. It's not hypocritical to support gender-affirming care for cis people, it's just transphobic.

Some people want their work or their family name to be remembered long after they're gone. I want my ossicles glued to a plank in a 37th century museum as docents explain to bored schoolkids that these bones prove that most 21st cen humans went deaf from listening to too many podcasts.
