I'm pretty sure nearly everyone at the public hearing on SEPA reform yesterday lives in Seattle, but of course KOMO frames it as "residents" versus "activists."

Here's a bit of a zoom in to the Seattle area, because it's cool to see how diverse the Eastside and South Seattle/South King County are. (Is it always the same map? A bit. Definitely the usual West Seattle divide is there, and the Montlake versus further south line.)

I wrote about the two anti-trans initiatives that will be on WA's November ballot. Interesting to put together the pieces as to how this relates to the dark money in WA's state supreme court races this year. There's even some creepy potential genetic surveillance in one of these initiatives.

What do we think friends? Having been keeping tabs on the SEA bargaining site, it seems they have been dissuaded from taking a more financial tact to one more about teacher time and class sizes, which I think they will get more parent support for.
