Ive been busy with a bunch of good old fashioned physical jobs over the last three days, lots of lifting, twisting, bending down, squatting, carrying. I feel like I've been hit by a bus, so lots of extra old man grunts and moans everytime I stand up. Youth is definitely wasted on the young.

Of all the things that could be humanity's "great filter" that are out of our control (asteroid impact, gamma ray burst, alien invasion, super volcano etc) it is actually going to be caused by stupid insecure men (runaway climate change, global pandemic, nuclear war, choose your poison...) Fuck.

And so ends my Christmas 2025 holiday, I am glad I got to spend time with whanau, eat and drink plenty, and spend many many hours fucking around in my shed. That's where I achieve stuff i can see, unlike at work where despite hours of toil, most of it remains invisible.
