And looking at the site itself, it appears to be used to advertise services and current exhibitions - so presumably will be regularly updated and not a "brochure" static site. It also doesn't look like that info can easily be shoehorned into the existing WCL website.

But it's a website about a library? Wappalyzer extension indicates my worst fears - made with Python, Django, Next.js, React, Amazon cloudfront for cdn, hosted on AWS. Pretty much all of the most expensive options, all for a fancy looking static website. Christ.

This kind of slick design does cost a lot and there is some complexity to the events but a) there are multiple Wellington firms who do this stuff well and b) it didn’t need a standalone site at all, they’ll be regretting the fragmentation as the content team needs to update things in two places
