Good news and bad news. The only charger in Pirongia is broken again (again) but we got his and hers pies. 😁 Gonna scoff these down then go in the wrong direction to find a working charger, then it's time for THE RUNNING OF THE SHEEP 🐑

Woop! Plane has landed! We got in before the cyclone! Hopefully she gets through quickly as we've got to get down to Te Kuiti for the running of the sheep down the main street. Oh yes, my life is a rollercoaster. 😂

Mildly interesting: the lip of the boot lid on the Tesla Model Y L is almost 20cm higher than the regular Model Y.

Got a friend scheduled to land into Auckland on Saturday morning. Took 2 weeks off work to show her around NZ but who knows whether Cyclone Vaianu will change things. Been looking forward to this for months so I'm crossing my fingers and checking her flight info regularly. 🤞

I honestly expected the Tesla Model Y L to be a little bit slapdash because it's basically just a stretched Model Y but there's a lot of attention to detail when you look closely. The engineers behind this vehicle have put some effort in and I appreciate that.

First time in my life I've seen diesel over $4 a litre. This is going to sting for all of us. I wish we'd electrified all our trucks & trains ages ago. I've been saying it for years. 😕

Let's really push this thing. I'm going to attempt to drive from Te Kuiti to Auckland (200 km) with one rapid charge. Can this 15 year old electric car do it or will I be calling the AA for a rescue? 😅

I know this is going to cause division but I can't hold it in any longer: marshmallow Easter eggs have always been nothing but a sugary, chewy, flavourless mush, wrapped in a layer of chocolate so thin you can almost see through it. They're disgusting and when I come to power this will stop.

That's neat. Filled up my $1000 NZD ($571 USD) electric car for $0.02 NZD ($0.01 USD). Did it with solar power even though it's a cloudy day. It's so cheap it honestly feels illegal. No wonder oil companies hate these things.

Why is there no fartment in the Dongfeng Vigo when it's CLEARLY BIG ENOUGH?!

Lab testing has revealed an unexpectedly high PSC of 82 in the Dongfeng Vigo. This marks an 18.84% increase in tuber storage over the much larger Tesla Model Y. #science

I'm not a qualified fuelologist but recharging a petrol car sure seems complicated.
