Heatwaves also involve layers upon layers of inequalityâlike when we learn that the French police punctured and then dismantled a pool bought by young people in a low-income neighborhood. Which probably don't have any air conditioning. We really need to change everything.

Here's OUR librarian. She gets about. This is the bookplate Si did for La Belle Adventure. Also, it's worth saying that while Gigs isn't Si's debut, it is very much his graphic novel too, and he does get appropriate kudos in the review...

Comparing coverage of the Belfast and Edinburgh attacks, it seems that if politicians politicise and racialise a crime, then it will get far more attention than a crime that is in itself political and racist but doesnât serve a political agenda. Thatâs not a good message

At this stage, maybe you COULD satirise UK 2026. Racist pogroms deplored by politicians on the very platform that foments that shit. More grannies and vicars and semi-retired gardeners arrested. It's like reality is being edited live by Adam Curtis.
