I still can't get over the TV Academy throwing a 70s Disco networking party. I still have colleagues that lost their homes are are living in their cars. This is the part of the 1970s that the American TV industry most resembles right now, with so much production going to Canada and Europe:

So the big studios are abandoning the US and turning the staff workers into contractors to get out paying for healthcare. The United States is losing one of its defining industries because of not having universal healthcare and the people are going to be even more vulnerable to the industry.

It’s kind of crazy how much “tax incentives for major companies creates jobs!” when universal healthcare would also create jobs.
