A really good way to get me to visit your shop/gallery/cafe is to post pictures of your dog at the location and refer to it as “the manager”

The Banished Vault is on sale! It's a strategy game about the difficult and terror of space travel. It uses nearly-correct math to determine delta-v, resources strictly tracked in the world, and dice rolls to simulate anomalies. There's lots more but the included manual explains the rest!

There’s a lot I could say, but what I will say is that my PhD is built off the analysis of games that have long been dismissed as “unworthy” of analysis because of their simplicity & perceived “childishness”. This can then also shape discussions of who gets included when we talk about “players”

A surprising number of people never heard that all-timer fantasy tribal management sim King Of Dragon Pass got sequels. Two of them! They're very good. Also a new strategy game in the same setting just came out recently - Runequest: Warlords.
