Dug out an old New Yorker cryptic to do over lunch – fun little puzzle. Hadn’t occurred to me that a barred grid could work for without needing any obscure words. Shame they were discontinued! Also discovered a lovely (new to me) homophone indicator in this clue: “Music genre only acoustic (4)”
