One of our new cats does "love bites", almost entirely on my daughter. I'm unfamiliar with this behavior and the research is frustrating. A lot of the solutions to train them out of it are to reward them for not biting (there's no pattern) or play with them more (literally not possible).

I see these enormous displays of props and costumes and so on for Elf on a Shelf and I'm just stuck on who it's FOR. One of the conceits of the brand is that kids aren't supposed to touch the Elf. But we're looking at Barbie levels of costume changes and vehicles and playsets. That's for adults?!
