It's lovely out from a visual perspective, but that's a 60mph road out there which is a rush hour cut through to avoid the speed restrictions on the big A road. Today only occasional local traffic and the odd tractor, still -6 out.

......and it's started. There's a guide dogs event later in the month that I didn't put my name down for cos it clashes with something else & it's a long way for me to go. However none of that fully registered, nor that I have Honda Jazz so currently neither the stock or physical stall can get there

We crawled sedately, slowly the three miles to the main trunk road, took one look at the mayhem, went round the roundabout and crawled slowly and sedately back home again. #ukSnow

OH's car is off the road and I am laid up with a damaged knee so he's taken Elsie out for a walk, but it took him so long to scrape and defrost my 13 Yr old basic Honda Jazz that the weather closed in and it's started snowing. He is not a happy bunny.

Heartbreaking update. Stella passed away peacefully this morning as I kissed her goodbye. Stella won so many hearts, showing how loving and talented #Staffies are. An incredible police dog. Stella will forever be in my heart and always remembered for her amazing smile 🐾💔

I still miss my AGA, but am feeling much less bothered about the eye watering amount I spent on the replacement now that I can reliably turn out a full roast dinner with no stress. Duck, three roast veg, green veg, yorkshires and gravy with an apple crumble chucked in to make use of the heat. #smug

Been and done the Big Shop for food. Car park was rammed but thankfully the supermarket was mostly full of very organised people with a list and no tolerance for indecisive people so it was fairly painless.

OH has a stinking cold so is WFH mostly on teams today. As I came out I gave him a kiss on the front of his bald pate. I wonder how many meetings he will do before discovering the bright lipstick imprint

Well that's just gone to the top of the Christmas holiday jobs. One birch coming down, it's been looking dodgy for the last year but this seals it's fate.
