23 years ago today an insane lady agreed to move in with me and become the most important thing in my life. She has been in my life longer than any other person I know or have known.

OK - time to deploy the boat cooling system I created a few years ago. Sump pump into the canal, 1 1/2 pipe with umpteen 4mm holes drilled in it. Cools the boat by between 4 & 6 degrees, water goes back over the sides to the canal.

Finished frog 2, now onto frog 3. When done it is a hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil design.

Today I plan to finish the 2nd of 3 frogs in my current cross stitch pattern. Remember people who cross stitch are perfectly content to precisely stab something 196 times just to make 1 square inch of progress.

Good grief Just seen a post on a local FB group offering 'very good websites' specifying prices in $ (we are in the UK) and with a profile picture of a Frenchy sat on what I presume is their sofa / couch. Not overly inspired.

I've spent most of the afternoon and evening transcribing a coloured squares cross stitch chart into symbols. Just couldn't get on with the coloured square version.

If I see someone's profile and it says 'digital creator' my mind immediately goes 'cut and paste, AI using clickbait twat'

We've been looking at a weekend away in the camper. Looked at loads of sites, eventually found one that sounded ideal, great description, good reviews. Then discovered one of the reviews was from us. Solved that then - we're booking it.

This was the set up for my recent photo shot. Random bits of mount card, some glue, staples, a table top vice and a macro lighting set up.

I've been doing cross stitch for over 40 years now and normally work either 14 or 16 count. I was recently given a small kit and instead of the usual symbols the chart was all coloured squares that vaguely match the threads. Giving up. Will scan the chart and edit it to symbols.

Go buy things from this lovely lady. They're fab and funny.

I'm all in favour of using public transport, but the last 2 times I tried going somewhere by train they got cancelled due to line issues and the last time I tried to go by bus I got there but the return service was cancelled and I stood out in the rain for an hour hoping the next one would appear.

Today's bullshit award goes to a female on a course today who resented being called female, then resented being referred to as a lady, and then final chance - a woman. Closing rant was "I'm not a woman - I'm a lesbian." Forgive me to be a lesbian surely you need to be female / lady /woman?

Much as I truly believe the 1 day Emergency First Aid at Work course can be a life saver it seems companies only do it as a cheap fix and students are rarely willing participants. For the first time ever I'm not looking forward to teaching it tomorrow :(

Not had any appetite at all lately. Last ate mid-day Saturday. By my reckoning that's about 55 hours now and about to call it a night. Will see what tomorrow brings. Interestingly not thirsty either but making sure to keep drinking water.

How nice it would be if at least some of the people on my courses actually wanted to be there. Why do companies send people with absolutely no interest in the subject? If they aren't interested or see no reason to be here they will learn bugger all. How school teachers do it is beyond me.

Use public transport. Parked up at a campsite just outside Stratford upon Avon. Bus stop literally directly opposite site entrance so we go in by bus. Bus arrives 20 minutes late. Coming back bus simply doesn't turn up at all. Last bus did turn up - 15 minutes late. Use public tranpsort.
