Today sees me updating our Working at Height Awareness presentation. Taking the opportunity to bring it into line with house style at the same time. I know how to live.

When managers / buyers with no life experience are in chare of buying PPE. . . 5 chaps on a safety harness course today, all turned up with harnesses (good start) - sadly no lanyards to attach said harnesses to any anchor points. Plus 1 was far too large so effectively useless.

So for the 3rd time in a row now I've booked the 08:30 dentist appt for check ups and no dentist. She's typically 20 ish minutes late despite being 1st appt. I waited 10 today, handed my patient form back into reception and politely pointed out if I'm 5 minutes late they cancel. Complaint sent.

In my days of running a company computer system back in the 80s GIGO (Garbage In = Garbage Out) was a common phrase. 40 years later AI and LLMs are excellent examples of that in the modern day. The only difference really is how fast the Garbage Out bit happens.

I wouldn't call myself a 'prepper' but a degree of self reliance isn't a bad thing. By default we have at least 2 weeks worth of food at any time, ability to create drinking water, independent of mains if needed and quite importantly we think, 2 differing 2 way radio sets in case of network failure.

Boss has decided all of the short course presentations we (I) use should have a common theme. Every one I've written is consistent. The 5 she's written have only 1 thing in common - the file names end in pptx. Every layout, font, colour scheme - all different.
