Es wäre auch super, wenn wir mal endlich Infektionsdrehscheiben wie Gesundheitseinrichtungen, Kinderbetreuung,Schulen, Arbeitsplätze abstellen könnten. Sich ständig aerogene Infektionskrankheiten einzufangen, ist kein Schicksal, sondern auch mangelnde Lufthygiene. Wir könnten sehr viel weiter sein.

New research paper on transmission of respiratory viruses in schools. Results - extended periods spent in poorly ventilated classrooms are a stronger driver of within-school transmission than individual contact rates. Solution - monitor air quality and ensure classrooms are well ventilated.

The indoorco2map.com project is just one of thousands of projects regarding indoor air quality and I just want to thank everyone in the field of indoor air quality who is trying to improve the wellbeing of people - no matter if since decades or just since recently.

Comparing the data with such studies done in schools it shows that aside from some concert venues or pubs there are barely any places with worse air quality then schools of many countires - it’s hard to call this anything other than a complete societal disregard for children.

Um das nochmal mit Daten aus Österreich zu bekräftigen aus zwei verschiedenen Studien (McLeod @robscot.bsky.social , Hopfe et al. 2025 und Beck, Rojas et al. 2023). Fensterlüftung ist bei hoher Belegungsdichte einfach unzureichend - besonders im Winter (und da auch Energieverschwendung).

Es wäre dringend geboten, dass die Luft in Klassenräumen durch eine mechanische Belüftung hygienisch gehalten wird. Das sollte eine Lüftungsanlage mit Wärmerückgewinnung sein. Ohne Belüftung ist die CO2-Konzentration schnell über 1000ppm. Konzentration leidet
