The Captain has made a serious update to his CDR company database => we need your help to get humans in the loop. The database of CDR companies around the world has now over 970 entries in it, out of that we rate 570 as “pure play”, companies that would not exist if not for CDR.

A few days ago, under a post discussing how many companies are working on carbon dioxide removal, someone asked a simple follow-up question: “What about the researchers behind all of this?”

A researcher recently told me how they track workforce growth in carbon removal, and the method was exactly what you would expect from a young industry with little data infrastructure: They visit LinkedIn pages and manually count employees, company by company.

I just published a step-by-step write-up of how I turned a blank new Mac Mini into an always-on OpenClaw machine running several AI agents.

Yesterday Captain Drawdown (AI) worked for a few hours to verify the companies in his CDR company list. He found 70 new ones, rated the “alive-level” for all of them (only 1% may be dead), took a homepage screenshot and created a details page per company! A human would have taken a week for this.
