Got my Steam library drive shared between Windows and Linux properly this morning. I had this working under Mint but it was more complicated (typically) under Manjaro. I sifted through forums and troubleshooting guides, trying each fix in turn. When it finally worked I had a proper 'yes!' moment.

My first 3D card (as they were known back then) and still the coolest named one. Bought with the bonus I earned from my summer job between years at uni. I spent a happy summer downloading Glide patches for games such as Tomb Raider and Carmageddon via my 33.6k modem. Good times.

More Linux ramblings: the only major issue I've had so far has been editing large (10,000 pixel wide) images in Gimp. On Windows, broadly speaking this just works but under Mint I've had issues with the system crawling to a halt in what appears to be swap thrashing.

Linux update for anyone who cares: Manjaro going well - bit crunchy in places but manageable. Steam, NordVPN, Dropbox, etc. all installed and working. I even had Atomfall running nicely. Getting it to connect to our printer took some time but when _aren't_ printers a pain?

I've finally got around to playing Shadow of the Tomb Raider. I loved the other two in the series but it's still amazing to be what a technical achievement these games are. Hard to believe this is nearly a decade old.
