For my pick, I'll go with Sandman Mystery Theatre. A remarkable book from Vertigo that took one of DC's old golden age characters and brought him back to the Pulp Magazine. The ending was a nice conclusion to boot - Wes and Dian heading off together. The two of them happy.

I is for The Invisibles Probably Grant Morrison's weirdest comic, and that's saying something. They wrote this to communicate the experience of being abducted by aliens in Kathmandu, and binge reading this definitely makes you feel like you've been abducted by aliens. It's amazing.

I love this book. I felt for Zoe. I felt this book.

What makes this comic so special for me is that it really just throws you into it! There's no exposition, not setup, no introductions. You join a man in the middle of a job. What's that job? Who hired him? What is he after? It all gets revealed in its own time and you never feel bored as you wait!

This was pitched as a new origin for Hulk and Marvel said no because they are COWARDS. If you loved Immortal Hulk or Wolverine: Weapon X, this is the comic for you!

And just in time, Headlopper is back after a hiatus! Headlopper is a perfect pulp book in the same vein as Conan, but as someone who never read Conan, it still felt familiar and modern. The art is the real sell here, but it's an incredibly fun story and with engaging character dynamics.

One name caught my attention here & it was Scie Tronc who I could not find until I typed their name as one word and then I started to find some info. I think they’ve done a little for marvel but they’re a European manga style artist, I think? And that is visually…very compelling. I want to see more
