So my first tip for this is just Read a Lot of Comics. have comics in your bookshelf (real or virtual) that you can flip through for inspiration and see how other artists are working and what/how they fit visuals into a panel. I read a lot of manga on my phone, and every time i see a page that--

1 more session and then thats it...! i spent like 90 minutes today just painting that nose. isnt that crazy. you never notice how many colors are in the nose (or any skin, really) until you have to painstakingly mix them by hand and tile them in in tiny tiny amounts
