Marl pits are mythologically important to me in way I can’t articulate yet, but it’s something to do with digging down into the earth, they’re like temples or shrines or holy wells, they’re like islands amongst the fields, there’s a whole bit of the village built inside one and nobody knows

I just think this is interesting to talk about, I have things I'd like to express concerning the environment and having a body and living in an almost fascist country, and I always want to translate the feeling of watching maple leaves change in autumn, I think these things can be reconciled

it's so refreshing when a digital painter really Goes For It. making decisions about scale, detail and clarity that feel intended for an spacious gallery wall more than a phone. i would love to somehow see this piece "in-person"

I have a theory that the only way to earn any proper money on patreon is if (intentionally or not) your audience are engaged in some sort of parasocial relationship with you, which is how every podcast can get away with having £5 minimum tiers

The problem with flipping the canvas is that if you have a face as wonky as mine, if it looks right flipped then the picture is wrong, the first time I got my passport photo taken as an adult I was so used to only seeing myself in the mirror that I thought the machine was broken
