"Selling Out Is Bad" is a valuable concept and despite all the baggage and bullshit and elitism it could contain it's actually really good to reinforce the ideal that having integrity when it matters, especially when it hurts, is what good/cool people do. Should be adapted instead of jettisoned.

Weird to realize a cliche when I was more depressed it felt like colors just won’t come to me, as if I was unable to imagine them or connect with any in a meaningful way. Lately have more ideas for palettes and it took me by surprise

I have this Vampire Hunter D artbook called Coffin by Amano and I envy him a little bit for not having to write or think a story, but he got to just draw this guy a thousand times being moody, gazing into distance and posing as shapely as possible

My self imposed challenge is to play breath of the wild without relying on warping and it makes me appreciate the adventuring more. I like when climbing a mountain is hard and I need to plan the routes a bit. Nice low stress game, except when I have to worry for my horse’s safety

Which bosses do you think were the most fun in Elden Ring/Shadow of the Erdtree? I still haven’t beaten Midra, Metyr, Bayle or Sunflower. I look forward to beating Midra and Bayle though they seem fun I also liked Messmer, Dancing Lion, Mohg, Margit, Astel. I’m terrible at Maliketh but he’s cool

Mieville’s The Scar was good. It was fun adventure reading with some stand out scenes that I enjoyed very much, I read it in few weeks My only gripe is I don’t think his characters interior lives or emotions are as interestingly written as his loving descriptions of city streets

I drew him a bit differently every year but his fluffy mane and tail were consistent. Sometimes his head markings seemed like a shapeshifting ink pattern. Usually it looked like a tiny rabbit face to me.

I tried to find some drawings I’ve made of my cat who recently passed. I have doodles and little things, but even more I see his eyes and little looks and shapes in everything I’ve made. He was a constant presence and love in my life for so many years and I miss him terribly.

Bit of a tough week, our cat has health issues and it’s been stressful but hopefully will get better after getting some meds and fluids. He has pancreatitis which occasionally flares up so that’s what we’re dealing with.

It’s a weird experience to have had been online for long time & having formed sort of parasocial relationships with other online people. Some whom I’ve never met but have seen them grow as people & artists for years. Knowing some tidbits like their pets, hobbies or problems. Being online is weird
