#MayWorldbuilders 25 Lina has: - Experienced the death of a loved one ✅ - Nearly died herself ✅ She deals with it by carrying on. Life goes on, and living it to the best of your ability is (to her) the only way to not let the bad shit win.

#MayWorldbuilders Heiden can process death pretty quickly, and move on. It doesn't break her resolve in battle. She'll take her time to grieve when appropriate. Killing does weigh on her, but she does deal it in a healthy way. She has almost died, but hasn't dealt with /that/ trauma very well. 1/2

Love of family, friendship, and romance are all core to Tiferet's story: whether someone needs to earn it; trusting someone who sees something in you that you don't; that being loved can't cure everything, but it can make it easier to heal and endure, if treated correctly.

Starting with #WealdandWen continuing in #WakeandGlaer and likely through the other two love is shown as platonic, earned, and most importantly chosen. It's something cherished as a cool salve in a world aching to burn them alive... or eat them.

Love, in its broadest sense, is one of the central pillars of #ChroniclesOfTheRealms. Everything characters do has love (or lack thereof) at its root, from the mundane to the world-shattering acts. Of particular significance in this first trilogy is self-love and how that is true freedom.

The main message I want to show in Solaris is that love comes in different forms. Sometimes it’s unrecognisable to what most consider love to look like, that doesn’t make it less valid, even if it is messy and complicated.

In "M.A.H.M." - www.enlightensomeonedaily.com/mahm.html - Greg and Jackson embody opposing viewpoints on freedom vs. confinement. Greg is a sadsack who is trapped within his past, while Jackson learns the truth of his past and is in one way (literally) liberate. He is, however, a slave to his anger.

In Mermaid's Blood, the rival character, Ishmael, foils the protagonist, Aashirya. Both are apprentices of a famous pirate, and both convey themes of revenge and grief. But, where one learns to move on, the other does not. #writersky #indie
