Only in my short story collection, and it isn’t the typical unreliable narrator. It is 3rd person but I play very fast and loose with the narration. It brings comedy.

WIP 1: The spirit realms may count. But its unclear. Semi-physical might be a better description because there’s not a lot of difference between those realms and the main world aside from being stranger.

WIP 1: The mirror ocean. It surrounds the 7 Empires and is the reason the rest of the world didn’t know about it. Uniquely reflective waters make it difficult to see the 7 empires land mass unless very close to it.

Not discussed much, but: In WIP 3 the democratic species’s planet is filled with various fungi. There are massive mushroom forests. Additionally the high caste of the democratic species are semi-fungal life forms.

#februaryworldbuilders day 5: WIP 1: The Shinigami desert is a province of the 7 empires. But it is not one of the provinces that was considered an empire. It is completely abandon and has no life in it at all, just the ruins of old villages. A magical event rendered it lifeless and-

Nozomi has her custom guitar. A gift from her grandfather though the person who made it is a mystery. It’s oddly durable and playing it always calms her. Can’t think of any for my other characters.

MCs: Inazuma handles boredom well. He can meditate, do caligraphy, or just enjoy the sound of nature. Nozomi will play guitar, write lyrics, or…do someone lol. But being alone is what makes it difficult for her. She doesn’t handle being alone well.

For almost all of them its sight. So I’m only going to mention the answers that are more unique. Nozomi: Soul Sight (known to angels and demons as the penultimate sense). It’s not literally “sight” but permits “seeing” souls. Unlike other senses though, it can fully stand in for senses. Example-

Predictable answer. Basic answer. But for good reason. Very well written character who, unlike most horror protagonists, primarily makes smart decisions. In fact if everyone listened to her, very few would die. And that’s true across all her appearances.

Most marvel movies after a certain year. Super heroes are a fun concept. That’s objectively true. But at a certain point marvel movies became dependent on constanr quips (if not by the hero, then the villain or a friend) or they depend on cameos from other heroes that add little, setups for other-

#Febchantment day 6 WIP 1: Initially it was a plot hole filler lol. But overtime it became fun to play with and allowed me to do things with the story that I wanted but couldn’t explain. It allowed me to equalize my antags military with modern ones despite their refusal to use modern weaponry. But-

Final Fantasy VII. One of the best stories of all time. Great gameplay (though I admit some minigames are a bit awkward) Fun world that keeps you coming back. And the best soundtrack in gaming in my opinion.

#Febchantment day 5 WIP 1: Anyone can learn magic. In the ancient era magic died out because most of the masters sucked at teaching. But after the monster king reorganized how magic should be taught, the practice returned in the modern era. Now-

The issue is that he is unable to empathize or connect with other human beings anymore. He craves to be social, but his wealth puts him in a place where that’s just not possible in a meaningful sense. If he wants to be happy, he should do the following to regain that empathy:

Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children

#WritingQ This should be a fun one. Do you have a character who could be an absolute horror but nobody thinks about it because the character happens to be nice, lazy, etc.? For example, a character with a seemingly innocent super power that, if they were evil, could be applied monstrously?

As a villain lover, it would not surprise me. Certainly not for my main villains who are all likeable in some way. A few of the side villains though…I may start to question lol.

#febchantment day 2 WIP 1: I say hard until its not lol. For most of the story and users, magic is a hard system with defined rules and limits. But the higher the practice goes, the softer certain rules get. Once spirit summoning is involved, barely any rules remain except the 3 main ones.

Gonna forgo my usual way of listing characters because most of the answers will be the building they live in. So I’ll give only the answers I consider interesting.

MCs: Inazuma is always prepared for a fight but never prepared to negotiate. Nozomi wouldn’t even know how to prepare for most of the shit she deals with. When it comes to music, she prepares with an eye for fine detail and safety, but keeps things fun and relaxed.

As I typed, I realized none of my answers are all that interesting. Most of my characters are against it but for different reasons. Only Evil/Hell is in favor and only when the theft has no other justifications.
