I'm writing just the sort of goofy nonsense that I crave, brain candy to keep me going. And I'm sure there's others out there who need this exact brand of dopamine. More of a stretch, but I hope that my dumb lil dude makes a trans guy down on himself believe that maybe he, too, can be a badass.

For today's #Bookvember, I want to say it's the whole ouvre of that late 19thC/early 20thC "Golden Age of Illustration" style of watercolor. Rather than as a child, as an adult I was captivated and electrified. This particular Dulac lives in my head rent-free. I want a cover in this style sooo bad.

Been struggling to think of my answer to today's #QueerPrompts! 7, maybe? Things can be a bit gruesome, and the narrator is especially cynical. However, Alexander keeps pushing against them and succeeding somehow, bad consequences are dodged, and somehow courage and love win the day.
